Quotes Are Estimates Until Confirmed

A quote you receive through the website or by email is a good-faith estimate based on the details you give us. It is not a final contract until we confirm your relocation in writing and you accept it.

What can change a quote

The final price may differ if the actual inventory, access (stairs, elevators, long carries, gated entry, parking), home size, or dates differ from what you described. We tell you before any change takes effect, never after the fact.

  • Local jobs are billed at our published hourly rates, with truck, pads, and dollies included
  • Flat written rates by home size apply when the scope is confirmed in advance
  • Long-distance relocations are quoted as a binding written quote based on inventory and distance

Scope of Our Service

As a licensed Texas mover, we perform the loading, transport, and unloading of your household goods using our own equipment and crews. Specialty work such as pianos or climate-controlled storage is offered as described on our service pages and confirmed in your quote.

  • We provide the truck, moving pads, dollies, and trained uniformed crews
  • Packing and materials are available as add-on services when requested
  • We do not transport hazardous materials, perishables, plants, firearms, cash, or irreplaceable documents

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate inventory, addresses, and access details
  • Secure parking or building access, including elevator reservations and gated-community entry, where required
  • Disclose oversized, fragile, or high-value items in advance
  • Be available, or have an authorized adult present, on move day

Liability and Cargo Coverage

Every Comfort Movers job carries $1M cargo coverage. Valuation and claims are handled according to the terms of your written estimate and applicable Texas and federal moving regulations, including released value at $0.60 per pound and an optional full-value-protection plan.

Filing a claim

If an item is lost or damaged in our care, notify us promptly and in writing – generally within the roughly nine-month federal claim window – so we can document and resolve it. Pre-existing damage and items packed by the customer may be treated differently under standard mover valuation rules.

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Comfort Movers is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any relocation is limited to the coverage and valuation terms set out in your confirmed estimate.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule by contacting our office as early as possible before your move date
  • Any deposit and cancellation terms are stated in your written confirmation before you book
  • If severe weather or road conditions, such as a spring tornado watch or a rare ice advisory on US-75 or the Dallas North Tollway, make a relocation unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule

Payment

Payment terms, accepted methods, and any deposit are set out in your written estimate and are due as agreed for the service performed. Hourly local jobs are billed for the time and any add-ons used; flat-rate and long-distance jobs are billed at the confirmed written price.

Disclaimer

The website is provided on an “as is” basis. While we keep our pricing and service information current, content on comforthomemovers.com is for general guidance and does not replace your individual written quote, which controls the terms of your relocation.

These Terms of Service and any dispute relating to your use of comforthomemovers.com or your relocation are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas.

Why Collin County Books Comfort Movers

From Frisco master-planned homes and Legacy West corporate transfers to Downtown Plano condos and Richardson apartment turnover — a crew that knows Collin, Dallas, and Denton County streets block by block.

Summer-Ready Loadouts

July heat advisories, afternoon Texas sun, and the rare January ice event — we roll up with floor runners, shrink wrap, and pad-wrapped dollies. Early morning starts keep the crew ahead of the worst of the heat.

Top-Rated TX Crews

Every hand at your door is on our payroll — full-time, W-2, background-checked, trained the way Derek runs the yard. Never day labor. That is how we hold a 5-star Google rating.

One Flat Written Rate

Your figure is set on paper before the first carton leaves, and it holds whether the DNT backs up or the job runs late. Long hauls come back as a binding written total — nothing added at the curb.

No Outside Handoffs

Every truck wears our name; every mover draws a W-2 paycheck. Your load is never handed off — one Plano company packs it, drives it, and carries it in.

Fully Insured, $1M Cargo

Registered Texas household-goods carrier — TxDMV registration on file in-state, US DOT and MC for jobs crossing state lines. A $1 million cargo policy backs every job.

On Time Across the Metro

Two-hour arrival window, a call the moment we leave the yard. We route around the Dallas North Tollway merge near Central Expressway and the US-75 backup, so your closing date holds.

Packing & Supplies Included

Pack the whole house, the three-car garage, or just the rooms keeping you up at night. Cartons, pads, dollies, and shrink film ride on the truck — wrapping starts the moment we step inside.

Specialty Pieces Handled

Upright pianos, gun safes, and antique sideboards get the right ramp and straps — plus a crew chief who has eased them out of Frisco three-car garages and Downtown Plano walk-ups without a scratch.

Your Easy Plano Move

A flat written rate, then loading, then unloading at your new Collin County address — three steps, start to finish.

1

Tell Us About Your Move

Share the basics — rooms, three-car garage, tight Downtown Plano curb access, any upright piano or gun safe — and Derek’s office prices it as one clear flat figure with no fine print.

2

We Wrap & Protect

The crew rolls up on time, pads and shrink-wraps every piece — master-planned executive homes, downtown high-rise units, narrow Downtown Plano walk-ups — and shoulders all the heavy lifting.

3

Move to Your New Home

We drive across Collin County or out US-75 toward Houston and the Dallas North Tollway toward Austin, unload box by box into the right rooms, and reassemble the furniture. Welcome home!
